I just found out about this play:

The basic premise is ridiculous on the face of it - if water is in short supply, then the economics indicate that companies would pay you for your pee, rather than requiring you to pay them. However, the notion of a play which uses pee as a plot point is amusing.

In the play's storyline, once the people are liberated from their oppressors, they revel in the freedom "to pee whenever they like, as much as they like, for as long as they like, and with whomever they like". Which does sound like the sort of fun people in this crowd would enjoy.

I saw a professionally produced production of the play a few years ago. It was interesting although I agree it was a bit strange.

One more reason for the deplorable state of economics literacy in this country.

The play is in no way distasteful despite the title. It's a satire and comments on mega-corporations, capitalism and big brother.
