Meeting Chefs and people that want to be chefs someday

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how I can meet chefs and meet people that want to be chefs someday?  Are there any chef forums online that I could join?

That's an interesting question! One old-school way might be to find a nearby catering college and go and talk to people there. Explain you're interested in the profession (I'm guessing you are) and want to know more about it. People are generally helpful. 

I don't know about online forums, but I'm sure there must be a few.
