Site Question / Help Blocking??

Can anyone advise how to block members please? I don't want to disable messages as a whole but I've had contact a little too persistent lately so would rather just block if possible. TIA.

Really sorry to hear that - and we would encourage you to report that person in confidence to the staff.

It doesn't automatically mean that person will get banned or anything, in the first instance we'd try and encourage a change in their behaviour.  Sometimes people don't even realise they're doing it - but no excuse.  If they're annoying you then that may be the same with other people as well and the last thing we want is members getting fed up and leaving.

To answer the question though, at the top of the screen click on your own username and you should see 'Ignored Users' on the dropdown menu.  Then type in the first part of their name and choose the correct user from the list that appears.  You have the options to block different forms of interaction with them, for example them being able to message you, mention you in their posts or ignoring their posts.

It is possible to disable your messenger altogether too - but that means you won't have the messenger capability at all.  That can be found on the messenger screen (Inbox) at the bottom of the screen.
