A fond formative memory of mine.

My parents used to have some friends who had also had children the same ages as myself and my older sister. Every few months we'd go over to their house. Our parents would go out for dinner, and us teenagers would stop in to watch videos, eat sweets etc.

There's a thread somewhere 'if you had a time machine'...   But then perhaps life would have turned out very different in lots of other ways, maybe not completely the best.

Who knows whether you took the right path then or not, but a great formative memory to have.
