Different pee seems to have different effects though. @Malika’s pee obviously caused that particular plant to die off with just one (probably concentrated) dose.  However I regularly stay in a caravan for the weekend and it is sited in one place most of the time and both my wife and I use the toilet in the caravan maybe 3 or 4 times each per night (evening, bed time, morning and maybe even in the night).  At the end of the weekend I take the toilet tank out and simply empty it on the plants, so they get an instant hit of up to 16 bladders worth, maybe around 6 litres in one go.  The plants where I routinely empty the tank have thrived!   It was especially noticeable when we had a long dry spell over the summer and everything else was stunted and turning brown but there was one patch that was growing really well, a luscious green and was much taller than the the surrounding plants.

The pee is probably more of my wifes than it is of mine because I often by pass the toilet and pee directly onto vegetation outside - particularly my evening pees.  Those times I do spread it round more, as I just go wherever I feel like. 

Thank you for your contribution. I can confirm that my pee on that plant was particularly concentrated, since it was somehow an early morning pee (second part of my first morning pee at home). What you explained surprises me a lot, because generally speaking I experienced opposite results, but after all I am firmly convinced that different people have slightly different pee, depending by their life style, but those little differences could be maybe very significant for a plant and its cycle of life, so it is maybe explained the opposite effect between different people and different plants. Anyway, if I want to grow a plant, definitely I should not pee on it.   :-)

Very interesting. But when I need to pee, I pee, I don't waste time to try ti sprinkle or what. I don't care to fertilize anything. I just need to pee. The effect you can see by yourself in the pictures I attached to this post. Anyway, thank you for your contribution.

Yes, usually I leave the tissue right where I peed, unless there was a bin right close. After all, the tissue is made of very light biodegradable paper. I don't think I contribute to littering with a simple tissue.

Your remarks are all correct. I don't like holding pee , it is a nuisance for me. If I can, I relieve myself.

And yes, I knew in advance that I would have damaged the plant with my urine, but I also knew that this plant would have done a good job for my needs.

Finally, your last question. "Sacrificed" is a word that makes me feel kinda cruel. Anyway, it is difficult to answer, considering that I am not so young and I am used to choose plants as target of my pee for my own comfort (as mentioned above) when forced to pee outdoors. So, given that, it means that it happened many times in my life and so, as you said, surely many plants have been "sacrificed". Anyway, I assume that not all of them were completely killed. Hopefully stronger plants have been able to stand my pee.

Thank God I didn't need to do it too often. It happened and it happens from time to time... let's say at least once per year. Growing up I learned how to do it with less discomfort, but it is not a pleasure to try to pee in that little container without spill.

Personally I am not comfortable with it at all. When I pee outside only my man can guard me, not other guys. Anyway, usually he is facing me, sometimes he is giving his back and looking somewhere else, it is not so important.

Of course I remember. I was a kid. I ended up peeing on my hands while holding the container. Something that, although less, still happens today. Definitely I don't like to pee for the urine sample.

From personal experience, I won’t recommend it if you have very strong pee stream. I feel it’s harder to control & the funnel may leak. However, it’s nice to have it around for emergency. There was a time where I went on a road trip & I know we can’t stop at all. I managed to use gogirl in the car & I peed slowly into a water bottle. It wasn’t the most satisfying pee but it helps. 

Thanks for sharing your opinion. My stream is usually very strong, so it could be maybe not the best for the gogirl. It could happen that I fill the funnel and I would spill on my legs. Better I continue to squat  :-)

By experience, there are plants that are stronger. From the other side a plant with big leaves could be weaker than another type of plant and it could be more sensitive to an aggressive urine. Just an opinion, I don't have any scientific basis to give a real explanation.

Yes, it could be. I have to do this trip other times in this period, but unfortunately this plant will be not helpful anymore for my needs, because without leaves it will not prevent the annoying splash anymore. So, I would rather pee directly on the tarmac.

Seems like some scientific experiment is required by as many members as possible in controlled circumstances to see what the effects are generally and whether some people have more effect that others.

I agree with your point. It is definitely due to my pee. Anyway, I knew this in advance, since I have experienced this effect many times in my life.

I guess not everybody have the same type pee. Maybe mine is more aggressive. I don't know, maybe it depends by the life style.

May your pee wasn't the only guilty to plant wither that way, could weather, sun or something else helps.

I don't have a huge knowledge about plants, it's just a suspect.

 

 

I am afraid it was right my pee... as Alfresco said, the leaves that suffered are only the ones wet by my pee. Anyway, thank you for your appreciation.

Thank you for the clarification. I can confirm that the plant is in a public lay-by of a big street connecting two cities (I mean, not a property of a private person) and all the events you mentioned could easily happen. So tomorrow I will take a picture (if the plant is still there like it was yesterday) to add here for those who kindly asked me. Good night.

More people asked me to show more pictures of the plant, but I don't know if it allowed by the policy of the forum to show the effects of my pee on a plant. I wonder if it is OK if I publish more pictures about this matter. I don't know.

Yes, I can show it to you, if it is of some interest, of course. Lately I do that way pretty often.
