"Golden girls" and other possible euphemisms

Recommended Posts

A couple of decades back, I was looking at some top shelf porn magazine and reading some of the ads. The ads were for the usual stuff in those still mostly pre-internet days - £1.50 per minute phone sex lines, porn vids by mail order from addresses in Holland, sex toys of various kinds, and ads for escorts and massage parlours which spoke in euphemisms, because the law still cracked down back then on anything too overt. At least in the UK.

Anyway, there was this one escort agency calling itself "Golden Girls", and the ad made great play on this name by claiming that only they could justify calling themselves that, encouraging potential clients to contact them and find out why.

Now I imagined right away that "Golden Girls" could only mean girls who were into pissing and who offered this as part of their service. But then I realised that "Golden Girls" is a term sometimes applied to elderly ladies.

I never contacted them. Was too in the closet about my fetish at the time and in any case could never have afforded them. But I have wondered since. Were they aware that the term "Golden Girls" could have two very different potential meanings? Did anyone contact them asking to pay for some hot chick to piss on them, only to be told that the only service on offer was the opportunity to fuck a pensioner? Or vice versa? Lol

That's the problem with euphemisms. They are not always as obvious as they might seem.
