Sharing the train station toilet

My girlfriend and I were coming home after a day out last Saturday. We got to the station a bit early and still had about twenty minutes until our train, both desperate for a wee as we'd been drinking.

For some reason the Ladies was locked but the Gents open. I suggested to my girlfriend that she could come into the gents with me since she was desperate and there were no other men around, but she's shy and said she'd hold it.

When I came back out a couple of minutes later after emptying my bladder into one of the two urinals and washing my hands, the platform had gotten busier with a small group of girls heading off for a night out on the town. One of them had joined my girlfriend, said she was bursting and asked me sheepishly if I thought it'd be alright if they used the gents. Of course I sympathised and told her that there was nobody else in there and offered to keep watch for them while they went about their business, and the two of them went in together.

As I stood by the open doorway I could hear them clearly, hissing and tinkling into the water as they shared their plans for the evening, chatting away and giggling like best friends despite being perfect strangers. Can't help thinking, if we'd been a couple of minutes later I could have still been stood at the urinal only a few feet away.
