Several years ago I went to the hospital because I couldn't pee, I was taken to a room but then was told to wait until a ultrasound technician was available to see me to do an ultrasound scan to see why I couldn't pee. I ended up waiting for 4 hours and my bladder was extremely full. I was so glad when the ultrasound tech began to scan me, the ultrasound was torture because my bladder was extremely full, the reason why I couldn't pee was because I had an enlarged prostate so they had to insert a catheter to empty my bladder.

A couple weeks ago I had to get an xray of my bladder. I was told to be well hydrated the day of my xray, I arrived at the hospital at 10:00 am and drank two 500 mililitre bottles of water, the nurse gave me diuretics to help my bladder fill faster. At 10:30 am the nurse took me to the xray room and I already had to pee quite badly. They made me change into a hospital gown and they inserted an iv into my arm and injected xray dye into my arm, then I layed down on the xray table. I had to pee very very badly at this point, holding still during the 30 minute xray while trying not to pee was extremely difficult.

I have had prostate ultrasounds before, the full bladder is torture.

I feel like I need to pee as soon as I sit down in a car if I don't do a "just in case pee". I am trying not to do "just in case" pees as often. How can I increase my ability to hold it?

I have been doing it since I was a kid, I always pee before a road trip or anything even if I am home alone I pee just in case, I don't want to end up in a situation where I need to pee but can't.

Am I conditioning my bladder to feel full sooner and not hold as much?

For every bladder scan I have had I needed a very full bladder.

I said I how I had to pee too and would it make her feel better if I went at the same time. She said yes and then she lifted her dress and pulled her underwear to her knees - she wasn't really sure how to arrange herself since it was her first time peeing outside so I showed her how to angle herself. We squatted facing each other a few feet apart. I started peeing first and she looked at my pissing pussy and then it was like a damn burst and her pee came out in a thick strong stream, arcing a little from the pressure of it. I spread my lips some so I would aim a bit further, our forming puddles almost meeting. She moaned in relief at the release of her bladder. I finished first but I stayed squatting while she continued to pee, it went on and on, she really was bursting to go! The stream stayed strong but pee was also dripping off her labia lips. Eventually it slowed to a drizzle, then nothing.

She was a little embarrassed after and said something how she peed so much - she absolutely soaked the ground in front and under her. I said that's natural and I said I had to go a little bit more, since I can usually squirt out a bit more out of the tank after a good pee. There was gush I pushed out and she then tried and did the same which made her laugh. She then said she didn't have anything to wipe with and I said just shake off a bit and then pull her underwear back on, it'll dry and be fine. She did. 

We didn't have to pee anymore for the rest of the day but later that night she text me saying that it was fun and now she isn't afraid to be out and having to pee where there's no bathrooms! My duty is done haha.

Sounds like fun. Especially the full bladder ultrasound. How much water did she have to drink before her ultrasound?

My girlfriend is a nurse and she can hold 1 liter of water for 10 hours straight.

I just have a couple questions about pregnant women and their ability to hold it. Do they get uncontrollable urges to urinate? Can they regain bladder control after pregnancy? How often do they go to the bathroom? How do they hold it when there is no bathroom?

I'm not sure if metabolism comes into it, or if it's a physical thing, everything works as it should, we all pee about the same quantities, and we all pretty much taste the same, all clean and clear. It's just then when we drink, be it water, coffee, beer or cider, we end up going every 15 min, not a lot mind you, maybe a beer glass at a time, but easily every 15 minutes. Maybe a better word would be incontinence? I don't know but if we ever make it to a nursing home, they are going to hate us.

When you feel the need to pee, try and hold on for 5 to 10 more minutes. You should be able to increase the length of time you can hold it for.

Sophie, did someone ever accidentally or deliberately press on your bladder while you were extremely full?

I had a ultrasound done 3 weeks ago now and I had to drink 1.5 liters of water 2 hours before, the doctor pressing HARD on my bladder made me leak like crazy after 15 of torture I started leaking and couldn't stop no matter how hard I tried.

That sounds exciting.

My girlfriend wanted to press on my full bladder yesterday so I drank 1 liter of water and held it for 3 hours until I was starting to leak. She layed me on my back and stripped me down to my boxers and placed her hand on my bladder and pressed firmly into my bladder and said "you can hold it". I was leaking like crazy.
