I have disabled the chat noise by default. It may not change for your immediately, but should do soon. In future, you'll have to opt in for sound notifications.

Good point. There's no option for this, but i'll take a look into trying to make this possible. In the meantime, I recommend using the 'activity' tab at the top, as it gives you much more info about recent topics/posts. You can even build your own activity stream and filter out certain sections (like male peeing for example). 

Thanxalot. I think it works, nobody's chatting, but I clicked "toggle sound" as I logged in few seconds ago, and it said "sound notification enabled", so I guess this means it is now disabled by default. Great.

Just a very small thing: It would it be nice if it was possible to set the "Live Chat" sound notification to permanent OFF. One has to click 3 times, 3 different places with every log in: Click settings - click "toggle sound" - click hide. Would be nice if it could stay hidden (only the yellow symbol in the bottom visible) and quiet. If one wants to enable it, and make it pop-up every time one logs on - fine. An opportunity to save one's preferred settings would be great.
