Suggestion Box - What would you like to see?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, I'm looking for suggestions to further improve this site. Any ideas you have - no matter how small - please post below. Whilst I can't promise that they'll all be put into place, I can assure you that they will all be considered. Thanks. :)

I have a small idea. How about a pee porn review page? My thoughts are that rather than being a page to share videos - which we already have - it could be a page where members can post links to any pee porn site of any kind, and where any pee porn provider could be given a review. Whether the porn or erotica is available online or offline, and whether it is literary, audio or visual, pics or vids, phone sex, mags or books, stories, or whatever, it can all be either linked to, or where to find it otherwise explained there, with any comments anyone has to make as to quality. Fetish clubs or swinging parties, or massage or escort services, or anything like that which involves peeing can be highlighted and reviewed too by anyone with experience of them.

In time such a page could develop into a great resource for members to easily find new sources of peeing erotica. And it would be a good source of useful information for anyone considering the purchase of any peeing erotica. And because the best stuff will get the best reviews and the poorer stuff poorer ones, it will help to increase the business of the former at the expense of the latter which is good for pee porn generally.

I would advocate such a page only being accessible to members on the same basis as the videos are, ie three positive ratings being necessary.

Actually, when I made my last suggestion, I forgot about this thread.....

http://watchgirlspeeing.com/threads/other-sites-review-them-but-dont-leave-us.123/

But that very fact illustrates another point. With a thread, if nothing is posted on it for a dew days or a week or two, it drops out of sight completely. A dedicated sub-forum, however, would always be there, equally prominent and visible, and still just as accessible.

Link to post

One situation that often occurred on the other forum was that as soon as some members achieved the magic 15 posts - their threshold for pic and vid access - they stopped posting altogether - ever! And only showed up to look in the galleries.

One possible improvement upon that would be to make some kind of minimal continued contribution to the forum necessary for continued vid access - nothing too onerous or anything, but any worthwhile contributor ought to be able to get 3 positive ratings in any 12 month period. That could be a minimum threshold.

Another problem on the other site which intensified over time were the vast swathes of "members" listed who in fact literally hadn't visited the site for years. To avoid the members' list ever becoming too cluttered with these, anyone who hasn't even logged in for 12 months or more could have their name removed from the list. I would not advocate total account deletion - elsewhere occasionally people would abandon the forum for a couple of years only to return again later, and I think they should still have that option. But the usernames of anyone who hasn't logged in for 12 months or more could be removed from the members' list and stored somewhere else inaccessible to members, from where it can be retrieved and reinstated should that member ever show up again.

Elsewhere on this forum, I did put forward the idea that, when the site expands to the point where greater moderation assistance is needed, instead of choosing dedicated mods who can all too easily come to see themselves as a class apart, these powers could instead be given automatically to those members with the most positive ratings. Thus, those who contribute the most in terms of both quantity and quality - and thereby show their dedication to the site - would have the powers of moderation, rather than those who for whatever reason appeal to any existing ruling clique that could develop.

But as an alternative idea - if the above is a non-starter - how about mod elections? I have seen these work on other forums. Anyone who thinks they are up to the job and is willing to do it can put their names forward - and all those members with at least three positive ratings could then vote for whichever candidate they most favoured. Power to the membership, rather than any self-perpetuating ruling clique, is the best way of preserving the real sense of community that currently exists here, even as the site grows - at least in my opinion. And it is only my opinion, offered respectfully as mere suggestions: I will not complain or argue if you disagree with it. :)

Incidentally, I must give some positive feedback right here. It is so refreshing to see a site that actually welcomes constructive suggestions from members and feels entirely unthreatened by these. When I offered the same suggestion concerning mod elections, in the same constructive spirit, on the other forum, I was responded to in terms of curt rudeness by two of the other mods in particular, who interpreted my suggestion as an unwarranted attack on the status quo in general and on the mods in particular (which it wasn't, it was only a suggestion made for future mod appointments and in no way an attack on the existing ones). My suggestion was itself openly taken as an example of me moaning and complaining - which it wasn't - and of me "not being grateful for what is, after all, a free site". It was even suggested to me that I go and start my own forum if I didn't like the way theirs was run, along with gripes about how unappreciated the existing mods felt for their selfless efforts when people like me supposedly complain or question things. The hostility from certain mods there towards me - made worse I admit by my own tendency to overeact to being talked down to with great rudeness of my own, which I have resolved to work on and not repeat here - was the beginning of the disrespect and dislike for me there in some quarters.

Compared to that, the sense of mutual equality here, and the welcoming of all suggestions intended constructively, indeed their encouragement, truly is a breath of fresh air.

I also have learned lessons on the other forum. If ever I were to become a mod of any kind here, I would do so as an equal to other members, not a superior. I would not respond with rudeness or derision to any constructive criticism or suggestions, nor would I back any other mod who did. And if anyone questioned any decision of mine I would recognise their right to do so and not hold it against them, merely explaining my reasons if necessary. Mods should be servants of their forum and it's membership, not masters of it. When they come to see themselves more as the latter than the former, then the forum starts to suffer in terms of being less warm and welcoming to those prepared to speak freely and openly, usually because they actually care about the place!

Thanks for that, Egwalrus. What you have put across makes a lot of sense, and does effectively highlight many potential problems with the idea of forum elections. Your arguments, as put, are most convincing, yet done without any patronisation or rudeness, and I thank you for that.

Clearly, the site owner has total rights borne of the fact that he IS the site owner, and as such he is free to do whatever he wants with the forum, though he and the membership are likely to share in the common desire to see the forum become as vibrant as possible.

Clearly, if mods were to be elected, Admin ought to have the right to veto any particular candidature, or remove any mod who acts innapropriately, as well as appoint anyone he himself wants to see do the job. He himself would be the ultimate guarantor of the site being what he wants it to be. It's his baby after all. I think any elections that did take place would have to be with these kind of provisos understood in advance.

But to be honest, Egwalrus - figuratively speaking - your objections have holed my idea below the waterline and it is sinking fast. I have been reduced to launching the liferafts to salvage what I can....

But I do very much advocate this forum remaining a place where constructively intended suggestions - however unworkable - are treated with respect and not seen as personal attacks or unjustified complaining, where consistency and a willingness to explain modding decisions are not openly regarded as outrageous demands, and where any future mods keep personal dislikes towards other forum members to themselves, ie are a little bit more professional about the role, and less inclined to adopt openly rude or patronising tones.

If we want this to be that kind of place, we either have to rely on Admin keeping it that way or have some means in place that works to do so. I have tremendous respect for the Admin here, and as long as he remains as active here as he currently is, I am sure all here will be fine and this forum will go from strength to strength, and there will be no need for anything else. But on the other forum, both Admins have long since taken a backseat and barely show up at all, leaving the mods themselves virtually running the place. Insofar as the Admins know anything at all about site goings on, it is likely to be only via what the mods themselves tell them. This is potentially less than ideal if any mods themselves are part of the problem.

It is only because I love this place so much already, and want it to retain all that makes it the great place that it is, that I have tried to ponder ways to help ensure that it stays that way far into the future, even if Admin takes a beat seat later on.

This site desperately needs a place to upload videos! I was very excited to see how many unique pictures were being posted so quickly and then was very disappointed to find that the video section was only links! I think it's about time for a pee-only website to give Eroprofile a run for their money.

Thank you, as you've probably already seen, we now have a section for this.

In looking at the forum stats just now, there were more guests then members in the site. It may be a good idea to restrict most of the site, especially the picture sections, to members. I would not put a post or rating requirement to see the pictures, but when someone has joined, they are more likely to comment.

I agree it's definitely something to consider, although having more guests than registered users online is to be expected and certainly isn't uncommon for forums. When I first created the site almost every area was restricted until registration, but to be honest I've found that can be off putting to some people. Having content available for people to check out before registering might actually make them want to join up if they like what they see. All I'm saying is that it's swings and roundabouts with this, and from a search engine perspective, opening most content up to all visitors is the better option.

We do encourage users to upload their own videos, but simply to a free external site like www.tinypic.com - this way there's no restriction on the size of the video. I am happy to host exclusive, home-made files on our servers, but whilst the forum is still new I'm reluctant to massively increase its running costs so people can upload videos that are already on other sites. I do want to build a large collection of videos on this forum, but I see no problem with clicking a link to watch the video. I appreciate what you're saying though and am not ruling out the idea if I can work out a better system, but unfortunately allowing any user to just upload any video isn't a realistic option right now for a variety of reasons.

Thanks for all the ideas, comments and feedback posted in this thread.

Thanks. And yes I noticed. Glad to have been of service.I have been rather busy with work in recent days. Unlike most people, my working week includes the entire weekend most of the time, but I often have monday, tuesday and wednesday off instead, and next week is no exception. I will post more reviews then.

I have noticed that - unlike most sites - the edit function here does not appear to be time-limited. I have noticed typos many days after posting something and still been able to edit. But whilst I find time limits sometimes to be a pain, and on some sitess ridiculously short, an editing time limit does serve a potentially useful purpose.

Take this potential scenario - a prolific poster decides for whatever reason that he/she no longer wishes to be active here. Such a person no longer contributing is the kind of thing that happens from time to time, but usually all their existing posts remain. However, with no editing time limit, there is nothing to stop someone re-editing some - or all - of their previous posts by for example deleting them and replacing them with a word like "nothing". Ie, deleting them in effect.

So, whilst I like the option of being able to edit something I posted days ago, to avoid the danger of large numbers of quality posts ever being effectively deleted in future, I do think that some kind of editing time limit would be advisable as a precaution.

How about a 7 day editing limit? Very few people would want to edit something after that, and on the rare occasion that someone did they could ask Admin or any mod once they are appointed

One minor thing that existed on Peesearch but which you don't have here - a space at the bottom of each page telling you which members are currently viewing it. It was sometimes quite informative to see which other members were viewing the same thread as you, and possibly reading one of your own stories or some such.

A very minor thing which is probably not worth the hassle of setting up, unless it can be done very easily.

I can see how that would be useful, I'll look into it. Thanks for all your ideas and comments guys.

Feel free to keep posting any suggestions you have here, or in a new thread in this section if you want some more feedback from the community. :)

Is there any public pants wetting videos? Possibly wetting in plain view of public

If that is what you are into you ought to be able to find such vids via a google search. When you do, by all means post a link to them in the videos subforum. Many other members would be interested in seeing them, too.

Every forum I have ever been on will occasionally ban members. Unfortunately, this can sometimes be necessary as there are those who seek only to troll or to spam, or threaten people, or make malicious slanders, or whatever. No one has yet as far as I know ever been banned from here and long may that continue. But sure as eggs is eggs there will eventually come a time when someone will have to be. There are just too many knobs out there in cyberspace who seek only to be negative and disruptive, and sooner or later one such will show up here.

But it is also true that on every forum sometimes even generally constructive contributors can cross a line that merits sanctions of some kind. On our main rival forum, hell we all know what it is so let's just name it - Peesearch - the only sanction available beyond a verbal warning is a permanent ban. But that can be too draconian for someone who has behaved badly but is normally constructive. It can lead to members with great potential being lost to the forum permanently. Kevin here, for example, was apparently banned permanently from Peesearch without having it explained to him why, which was a bit harsh. Anyway, what I am getting to is the following two suggestions.

1) Lesser sanctions could be available, eg temporary bans of variable duration, or temporary removal of access to videos, and things like that, with permanent bans only used as a last resort or for particularly bad examples of unacceptable behaviour.

2) The person being sanctioned should I think always be told the reason. Also the reason for any sanction could be given publicly in a thread specifically there for the purpose, to which only Admin and any mods may contribute. This would help to inform others about which pitfalls in terms of personal behaviour are best avoided.

Thanks again for your ideas, although this is actually already happening. There is a warning system in place; if a member breaks the rules they are sent a message notifying them of what the problem has been, but the 'warning' is also recorded on their account. Accumulating too many of these will result in a ban, but very rarely is it permanent. The length of the ban will reflect the severity of what has been done. Unfortunately I don't think that I'll be publicly listing who has been banned and why for various reasons, especially as that is a private issue between myself/staff and the member involved. However I will certainly make it clearer what I'm defining the rules as so there can be no confusion on what should be avoided. Like you said, hopefully this system won't have to be used much, but it's important to have it, as inevitably it will be needed as the forum grows.

Any further suggestions and ideas, please do keep them coming.

Thanks for your clarification, Egwalrus. I never realised that bans had ever been rescinded on Peesearch. I stand corrected.

And I accept the reasoning behind the reasons for a ban being kept private, and respect that. Upon reflection, this is certainly likely to be less provocative to the person banned, and less likely to trigger any forum-wide argument about it. But hey, I never said all my ideas were good ones, but I do find it informative and educational to see the reasons why they are flawed articulated by others - especially those such as yourself with hands on experience. Thank you.

As for this forum and Peesearch being rivals, I don't mean that in the sense of us trying to rip each others' throats out. Many members here - yourself included - are active on both. I see the rivalry as friendly (hopefully), with each benefitting from the existence of the other. There is no harm in that at all, and yes, when it comes to good sites to enjoy our fetish, the more the merrier.

Just wondering if anyone would like to see a thread on what's going on at various pee sites around the net? Kind of like what I post at my page..keeping you updated on the latest video offerings you may want to check out? Just an idea.

I like that idea very much, and think you should maybe start a thread dedicated to this in the Review section. I would be very interested in reading this thread whenever something new is posted.

I know you have set up a link with peeingcupid.com, but it really bugs me that you can't do anything on that site without paying for it. As a standard member I am not even allowed to view other people's dating profiles on peeingcupid.com's website. In order to rectify this, would you consider setting up a watersports dating website as part of this site, Admin? All members could automatically be signed up as soon as their watchgirlspeeing.com membership has been finalised.

It's certainly something that I've considered, the issue is getting single girls on board who genuinely have an interest in pee. There are females on this site, don't get me wrong, but I doubt a lot of them would be interested in the dating aspect of the site and so it would be pretty much filled with guys... I'm not saying PeeingCupid doesn't have more men than women, but there's still enough girls on the site for it to work. I do hope to have some kind of dating element on this site eventually, but right now I just don't think it would work unfortunately. Why don't you just try a one month membership there so you can see if you like it, of course, providing you sign up with our affiliate link, you'll get premium membership here too!

I noticed that there is alot of diaper talk. . . and I can only assume that more diaper fans will be arriving soon or at least finding this forum at some point. So may I suggest adding a separate "DIAPER" area? You might also attract more members if you have a special area for diaper fetish due to key words ect. . . If you do. . . I can give you links to some diaper forums that might be interested in posting here as well. Diapers forums have alot of pee fans as well.

Diapers aren't my thing, but they are an important niche interest within the fetish, and a seperate subforum for this might well attract others who are into it. Posting links to sites that specialise in this is also a good idea. Perhaps if and when such a subforum is established, a diapers enthusiast could do what I did amongst naughty peeing enthusiasts - invite others with similar interests to themselves whom they know elsewhere.

You have said what I also wanted to say, add a diaper area but not separeted from this pee forum because diapers are pee objects too and belong to this forum too.
