gg111 32
I’ve always been in the habit of either deleting my browser history or using incognito mode when viewing porn and erotic stuff, including this website of course. The fear is that if I let someone else use my IPhone they will accidentally see the stuff I’ve been looking at (damn auto-suggestions). But I can’t remember the last time I let someone use the browser on my phone. But sometimes I wonder if taking the precautions of “covering my tracks” is doing more harm than good. Like I’m sending myself a message that what I’m doing is wrong or bad. On the other hand, maybe I just have a healthy dislike of the Big Tech companies tracking my every move. What do you think? Do you delete your internet history after viewing this stuff? Do you feel bad about it or just see it as a necessity? 1 Quote Link to post
avatar 256
I almost always use incognito mode when watching porn or browsing on here. Sometimes I feel like I don't need to, since uses my computer at all. Then I remember that my job consists of a lot of meetings that I do from my personal computer that sometimes involve sharing screen, and I sure don't want my colleagues to see this site pop up on top as soon as I type "p" into my browser for whatever reason. 1 Quote Link to post
Fanny 708
I also delete it when visiting certain parts of the internet. No one in my family or friends group knows about my pee facination. but I also struggle with the idea that no one knows. In my head it’s become something taboo. Something that others wouldn’t understand. Quote Link to post

I think that's the same for a lot of us... which is a shame because so many other things are considered ok which I'd probably never do... anal and bdsm to name just 2 1 Quote Link to post

Something that others wouldn’t understand. Yeah, I'm the same. There are parts about my sexuality that I don't mind having in my history, like the "normal" (from the society's perspective) straight porn I watch. I'm sure I have that in my history undeleted and I don't really give a fuck. Anything to do with this fetish though, I make absolutely sure to not leave any trace behind. There are other sexual things like that that I feel ashamed of that I keep my history clean of. 1 Quote Link to post
Shypee 426
I always forget to use incognito and am to lazy to delete my history. I just never let anyone use my phone. Quote Link to post
Chrissy89 1,187
I use private browsing mode for most of my stuff. I’ll just browse on my tablet or my phone 🙂 don’t really delete the history as nothing shows up on the private browsing Quote Link to post
REBob 123
I pretty much only use incognito mode on my phone, so don't have to worry about deleting history. Quote Link to post
Rufiaant 4
Always use incognito but I leave my porn on a few folders pretty accessible. Quote Link to post
pguy2981 849
I try really hard to keep porn viewing to my computer. I don't use my phone for anything porn related. I have my firefox settings set to delete the cache and browser history when I close the windows I have containers for everything. Containers work like the popular container software "Docker" if anyone here is familiar. It contains all your history and caches it in that one container, keeping it separate from your regular browser. This keeps my browser looking tame and christian. This site, my erome, and my naughty twitter account won't open up on any other tabs except the one I'm using right now. I lock my computer every time I leave the room and use the fingerprint scanner ONLY. I do not store porn files on my computer because I neither need them or trust them. Before 2012 that was a whole different story. My passwords for naughty accounts are in hidden password files behind a password protected database. If someone finds me out, it's either because I told them or I forgot to close the windows on my computer. Also, if this seems like overkill, it's because I have had bad reactions from my partner who found me masturbating (during, not after thank GOD), and finding a very...strongly worded blog I would use as an outlet for anger by searching the usage of a hashtag. I still don't know how she did that. I listened to an OSINT podcast and thought "Well, if people online are so searchable, how can I prevent myself from being searchable" and here I am. I want to take it further and conduct monthly audits on myself, but I don't have time for that. What matters is no one can see my dirty laundry unless I want them to see it, and thats a good place to be in. 1 Quote Link to post

Half of what you said is completely gibberish to me 😄 I wouldn’t even know how to set that up😇 1 Quote Link to post

Do you delete your internet history after viewing this stuff? Do you feel bad about it or just see it as a necessity? Deleting your internet history doesn't do much, depending on your browser and browser settings. Likely all that stuff gets stored away, but no Big Tech companies really care about it unless you're openly committing a crime, which piss is not. Taking precautions is something everyone on here should do. You wouldn't want your workplace to see it, or your wife or kids and have them feel any sort of negative sentiment toward you. Having a kink or a fetish isn't a crime just because the people around you do not have a crime. You are not actively hurting or extorting/exploiting people, nor viewing content (hopefully) that exploits or extorts or brings physical or psychological harm to others. You are simply keeping your private activities private. Big tech is hardly the only problem. Its who the big tech companies sell your information to, and how much information you have publicly available that they now have access to. Its also your insurance agencies, hell even your small sites with bad privacy practices. I will never feel bad about doing something that has been apart of me for years. Society likes to say that so many things are not okay. I say it is, and its fun to boot. I just cover my tracks to make sure no one pokes their nose into my business. Quote Link to post

It was also more of a consequence of a hobby at the time. The world of privacy in the 21st century is so deep, I don't know everything and everything I do know may not be 100% accurate so take me with a grain of salt. Also, keep in mind that there is a trade off between privacy and convenience. You can make yourself private online, but you can cost yourself the convenience of using the internet (like breaking webpages bc your browser settings are configured to break critical website features). 1 Quote Link to post
Bacardi 7,934
I am always in incognito mode, and I disabled a whole bunch of stuff on Google that would have given any indication of what I do on my phone (where I browse porn and this site most of the time). I also have an app that I use to talk to people here that is locked with a pass code I don't use often and even if my husband guesses my pee chats are hidden and locked away in an additional folder. I have a husband and kids and desperately do not want them knowing about what I do on here! 2 Quote Link to post

Spendapenny444 39
I also tend to use a vpn. Your ISP keeps a record of every website you visit if you go through their servers. Not that there should be any issues, but I always worry about inadvertently viewing something illegal or deeply embarrassing information about me falling into the wrong hands, not that you can ever be 100% safe. Best use a secondary email address for accounts too! Quote Link to post
Scot_Lover 1,663
I’m pretty sloppy regarding internet history, though I do have a couple of apps that clean the pc. Because I’m interested in security, I use a vpn, pc is password protected, there is also a Unix firewall between the modem and my computer room. The firewall allows me to lock down the entire home network, phones, iPads and local wifi. I can also run with this on the dark web. Ipads and phones are not used for porn, by either of us (I use the iPad on this site, but only at home) M rarely uses my pc, rarely goes in there at all, but I do have a lappie that she can work on. Nothing is hidden from her, she knows everything. Quote Link to post
LukeDZ 43
Just a reminder for those browsing via private/incognito mode at home, it only hides the evidence from the device you are using, so if you have a wifi router at home all that traffic is being logged in that. Something to consider if others in the household have access to your internet/network equipment. And not to forget your ISP and the likes of google/Facebook see everything unless you are using a VPN! 😄 1 Quote Link to post

Vassal 1,099
If for some reason I'm using something shared I'll use incognito or since I'm a lot older than incognito, I'll delete browsing history or cookies. On my phone I'll do the same just so when I pass the phone off to someone there's no autocomplete for the letter "p," nor is there a chance to accidentally stumble upon anything. On my personal computer? I stopped worrying about privacy in regards to porn long ago. If someone wanted to use it to search for something online, I'd just open a different browser. Still use a VPN and porn specific emails tho. Incognito does not hide your history, it only deletes it locally. Your ISP and various websites know your history. If you were really worried about scrubbing all history you should bbe using a TOR browser and VPNs Quote Link to post

Your ISP doesn't give a shit about you, and if people in your hosehold actively goes through the router logs to snoop on you, you probably have bigger issues. Quote Link to post

The problem with that attitude is that regardless of how much google, or your ISP or anyone cares, they can still do harm with your information. Including selling it to scammers, selling you items/political campaigns that are harmful. and potentially distressing adverts. There have even been a few cases of domestic abuse survivors uprooting their entire lives, crossing US state lines, only for their exes to track them down with information that should be private, and murder them. I too would probably be fine otherwise. I am a fairly open book after all. But I practice online privacy out of principle. 1 Quote Link to post
