There was a local night club years ago with an ordinary bar and deep pile carpets where the guys would just pee up against the bar while ordering a drink. I had used to do the same and piss against the side of the bar while waiting to be served. It closed some years ago unfortunately

It was when on vacation with my boyfriend and we in china in this hole in a wall bar but bartender was very friendly middle aged lady my boyfriend studied Chinese in  Highschool and college since he wanted to communicate with grandparents so we where their drinking I was pretty drunk and needed to pee so I left my skirt move panties to the side and began pee against the bar my boyfriend was apologizing for my actions and the nice said to not worry about it since many people have done that before and when girls gotta go they gotta go. My boyfriend laughed and later he pulled out his big cock and peed we left and gave her an extra $250 and said to come back and anytime

It seems like if it were designed for tobacco the drain would get plugged up pretty easily.

The bars I read about with pee troughs were built over water. Like long trenches in the floor that emptied down into rivers.

I've also read about some places with pee troughs mounted on the wall inside the bar area, outside of the men's room. I saw one in a Mexican bar in a movie.

It's an extremely impractical design. Most men would be more likely to pee on the bar than in the trough.

It makes more sense if your a business owner since less time leaving to the restroom more time drinking and spending money like the middle aged Chinese woman

From a business standpoint, having a convenient place for men to pee makes sense. Why have your customers walk all the way to a restroom to piss. Make  it convenient, let them urinate at the bar, and they're more likely to continue ordering drinks.

They had to be real. Bars existed long before proper restrooms and people back then used to drink a lot more since clean water wasn’t common.

I was at the Bar a couple weeks ago in Mexico and I bit drunk and I asked the female bartender where the restroom where to pee the bar was a poor like the floor was dusty and it was small. She said they didn’t have any thats what the bar drains where for. I shrugged and pulled my big penis and started peeing again the metal sheet covering the wood.
