Pool peeing with parents - Then and now

I've been prompted both by the thread "Peeing in front of family members' and also recent events 😉 to post again on this subject. 

As youngsters my brother and I were encouraged to hold on until we were in the pool to pee.  I can remember asking to visit the toilets with my mom saying "Oh that would be a long walk so it's much better for us to go right into the pool and you can pee in there."  Once in the pool my dad said "OK, when you're ready just pee through your swimsuit and it will go into the water."  I needed to pee so I did so, feeling for the first time the warmth at my crotch and spreading down between my legs.  I was told "Good girl!" by one parent with the other adding "In the pool is the right place." (Hey I honestly can't remember which parent said what now. It was a long time ago!)

Anyway this continued during future pool visits and, as I got slightly older, I began to realise that my mom and dad always squatted in the water next to me and my brother soon after getting in.  Watching them I could see them smiling and also giving each other a wink, with it only taking me a few more pool visits to realise they were possibly 'being naughty' too.  By the way I guess it was finally confirmed to me when they suggested a pause at the ladder before getting out at the end of our swim, "...just in case you might need to pee again."

That was the 'Then' and this is the 'Now' (well recent anyway!)   

On July 25th I posted about persuading my parents to visit a swimming pool. They're in their early 70s now and in spite of both being double-jabbed against Covid19 they were a little anxious.  Must admit they didn't need a lot of persuading into a pool visit though. 😉

They'd both been drinking tea before we left for the pool and I think my dad had possibly overdone it as he was looking both worried and uncomfortable as we approached the pool.  However both of them had looks of delight on their faces as soon as they were standing hip deep in the water.  Luckily this was in a leisure pool, so not obvious to others, and in a way I felt it as 'role reversal' from the times when they'd taken me into a pool so I could enjoy peeing into the water.  Anyway they enjoyed both swimming and peeing in a pool again (their first time in almost two years!!) and at the end I tried the 'role reversal' by suggesting that we could stand close together for a final pee into the water before getting out.  After an obvious "What should we say?" look between them they agreed and we did.

My grandmother was not too dissimilar to your parents, Maggie. I've told you the story. She was helping me float in the water at the shallow end with my armbands - I was about four or so. I said "I need a wee-wee!" Well, her reply was "Just do it in the water. I always do. There, nobody can see. Is it coming? Yes? That's a good girl!" 

I must tell you some more about my grandmother, sometime Whilst it wasn't her who taught me how to pee standing up, she encouraged me to do it outside a lot. Also indoors in full view of her and her sister. When she realised that I preferred to stand instead of sit/squat, she encouraged me in this too. Her encouragement only really stopped when my pubic hair started to appear and she could see that it was probably no longer appropriate to take an interest in my peeing outside.

Thanks for telling me this again @Eliminature, as I believe you've now helped me to understand my enthusiasm for pool peeing.  Your grandmother (as you've told us) added "I always do," when encouraging you to do so. On the other hand my parents were more secretive about it, possibly helping me to think of as far more 'naughty'.

@Maggie_555 Did you parents encourage you to pee in other naughty places other than the pool? I would love to hear about that!
