gldenwetgoose 20,242
I'm sorry to deviate from the original question - and I'll bring it back on track I promise... But double or maybe triple playing on words of the Cunt and it's derogatory use: Fat Lad At The Back is a clothing brand for cyclists founded on the principles of inclusivity and that other brands only seemed to manufacture items to fit racing snake athletes, whereas they wanted to encourage and appeal (or sell) to all body shapes. Their current advertising campaign is apparently causing some controversy (although getting the publicity they were aiming for): (There is an argument that it only ever meant "can't" and hence the apostrophe, but then why would the A be asterisked out?) Anyway, favourite words again - I was previously amongst the group of guys who thought 'Pussy' was a cute name, thinking of something very attractive and enjoyable to stroke. Thinking actually it was almost a compliment - but of course I'm happy to take on board the first hand opinion and I no longer use the term. I wonder if a certain president contributed to it falling out of favour? Instead when writing here I try to be reasonably anatomically accurate - vulva, slit, urethra etc. Or if I'm talking about such things, it would more likely be that I'd be using quite a vague term ('her bits on show for all to see' for example). Or something similar. 3 Quote Link to post

Kupar 12,360
K is quite particular about the words she likes me to use and so I try very hard to use those words IRL with her. She really dislikes 'pussy' and isn't keen on 'cunt' either, but there are two words she's happy with: 'twat' and 'fanny'. Other terms may also be used. 1 Quote Link to post

Yes, this is the issue I have with “cunt” too. It is a fairly insulting, jarring, angry type word. “Cock” is fine with me though. ☺️ 1 Quote Link to post

Oh dear, I might need to reconsider my favourite lady parts words. Maybe I can use some Spanish or Japanese words instead! To be creative! 💚 3 Quote Link to post
Eliminature 5,107
The certain president's use of the word "pussy" epitomises just how much I dislike the word. I disliked it before him, to be fair. However, the association with it and the context in which he used it has helped to illustrate to others why it makes my skin crawl. It feels like milennia of male disrespect and disgust for women distilled into a single word. 1 1 Quote Link to post

Peenicks 853
It's only dawned on me now how limited our vocabulary on vaginas really is. Vagina itself seems too clinical most of the time. Pussy has a lot of negative associations and connotations as pointed out by @Eliminature, cunt is too sharp and brash to be widely applicable, slit and hole are both oddly vague and are sort of gross sounding, words like "flower" or "womanhood" are great for poetic prose but lack more casual usage, and privates and "down there" are vague and a bit too juvenile to be used sexily. There's no real "sexy" or even casual terms in one of the most widespread languages (English) for one of the fundamental aspects of sex for about half the global population. I think this is part of the reason (or maybe a symptom of why) our public conversation on sex is so stunted. 2 Quote Link to post
peemike63 176
My wife lets me use the word cunt when we’re both turned on and horny. Otherwise we use the term pussy which seems much more acceptable for everyday. Quote Link to post

LickerLover 155
I have always thought cunt and twat were very derogatory, and fanny is to British (in the US fanny generally means ass). I always thought pussy sounded so cute (pretty pissy pussy just flows together nicely). I never knew anyone would find offense to the word pussy. Now that I do - I will avoid using it ( unless the poster posts a pic saying “look at my pussy). I find all genitalia beautiful- but especially the female genitalia. God I love this site for all the education it has brought to me. Edited August 23, 2022 by LickerLover Missing word 2 Quote Link to post

Terms like "pussy," "slit," or "cunt" just disgust me. If we like the female genitalia so much, why do we use such degrading names for it? It's the origin of pleasure, the passage through which most of us enter the world and thr source from which our beloved powerful, yellow streams spring. It's not dirty, disgusting or shameful. Love the vulva. Don't degrade it! The only issue I find with adapting "vulva" for usage is its biological association, that being a part of the outside opening on the genitals, as opposed to a term like vagina which encompasses the sex organ as a whole. We've gotta start reinventing our language or just borrow terms from other languages so we can finally get a casual and/or sexy pretty-sounding term for vaginas. I do like the flowery poeticism of "Lady Garden" tho, even if the gendered implications aren't ideal. Quote Link to post

I don't see one as radically different from the others, mostly due to dick jokes being the bread and butter of my high school experience for better or worse. If I had to pick one to use in a sexy scenario, I'd probably default to "cock" but maybe I'm in the minority on that one. Quote Link to post

Nope, t'other way 'round. The vagina simply refers to the internal organ - that is, the part that men have sex with. This article explains better: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/feb/12/external-female-genitalia-vulva-vagina-sexual-agency Incidentally, I actually find reducing the female genitalia to the vagina sexist, too. Our genitalia are more than just the hole that men ejaculate inside. 2 1 Quote Link to post

Our genitalia are more than just the hole that men ejaculate inside. Thank you for the insight! That was just a basic fuck-up on my part, sorry. Whilst talking about how limited our public understanding and terminology for female genitalia is, I managed to fundamentally misunderstand the terminology for female genitalia. I don't know if that bolsters or discredits my claim but it's a tenacious feat to be sure Edited August 27, 2022 by Peenicks 1 Quote Link to post
likesToLick 9,768
Actually, in my high school days, the girls in my town never used any of the words suggested so far. Instead, a girl would refer to it as her "dick." I had one lover in adult life (early twenties) who always used this term in pillow talk, whispering to me things like "smell my dick" or "my dick needs sucking." To this very day I find it incredibly sexy if a woman uses this name for it, so I would say that that word is my favorite. Of course, I almost never use that term on line, because in most versions of English, "dick" only means penis. In general, I don't use the word "pussy" very much when speaking English, it just seems a bit lame. If being formally correct I say "vulva", informally I might say "snatch", and during intimacy with a woman (if I know she happens to like dirty talk in bed) I will say "cunt." When speaking Thai, I am more likely to say "pussy" since most Thai women know the word, or I might say "hoi" which is the soft euphemism for "vulva." (The word literally means an oyster or clam.) rochauthrowaway 312
Speaking as a North American guy, I have written a fair number of fictional stories here now and have pretty much invariably used "cunt". I don't particularly like the word and I don't use it with the intention of demeaning women but I absolutely hate most of the alternatives. "Vagina" is technically wrong, "vulva" isn't a lot better ("piss jets out from her vulva" reads weird), and I feel that "pussy" is too much of a porn word and generally sounds quite objectifying. Other than that, I dislike euphemisms in principle and most sexual ones sound silly to me. I have used "slit" on occasion but I think it would sound awkward if used often. Anyways, it feels incredibly hypocritical of me to talk about objectifying language and such on a porn site where I write stories about women urinating, but it is what it is. 1 Quote Link to post
