Are Brazil new players on this fetish scene? What of the French? Japan certainly, Northern Europe in the 1970's? What of my home country, the UK? Hungary, Australia and the US? Can we honestly describe a Nation of pee fetishists? If so how do we gather the evidence? Perhaps there is no such thing, given that to develop a pee fetish is dependent upon social and cultural contexts. Thoughts and comments appreciated.

Interesting. The cost of opinion surveys is lower now than it has ever been. I wonder if it would be possible to get the funding for a representative online panel survey across multiple countries. It would only need a couple of questions. Incidence rate would probably be relatively low so sample size would probably need to be 1000 or so in each country surveyed. Who's got a few hundred quid spare to sort it out?

Maybe others knew this already (I didn't until just now), but there's a map that shows the location of PeeFans members (click on the "Forums" drop down menu and go to "Member Map"). Obviously, it only shows the location of members that have chosen to give a location in their profile (currently 8397 members), and since this is an English language forum, countries with few English speakers will be under-represented. Still, it gives some idea of the distribution of members by country.

It's a good point that a near-globally represented porn company like Pornhub should be able to to derive the data.

That triggered a thought, in that when I ran my own business website I did try to get into analytics, looking at keywords people were searching for and so on.   So I do wonder if Google Analytics does already contain the data and we just need the right key to unlock it?  I wonder if it would be possible to interrogate it and examine searches made on a particular word to get a response of how many times that word has been typed in?

Of course different countries would have different words, so it'd be necessary to do the check multiple times using every worldwide word and phrase we can think of - and then maybe scale the results according to population.  If the USA searched on Pee a million times and Monaco searched on Pipi a thousand times it doesn't mean America is 1000x more pee addicted.

When I've got some time I may have a play...

Thank you for these comprehensive replies. Data, I guess is important, but the level of accuracy is dependent upon pornographic sites and forums that have hits and members. The Czech Republic and Hungary are interesting, so too, Russia. Much has been said about the liberalisation of former Eastern Bloc countries after the demise of Communist ideology. I would have to differentiate between including urolagnia in pornographic films and photographs and the fetish as practiced without the support of pornography. Some countries, including the UK legislate against the depiction of the fetish, thus inversely making it more of a taboo. It would be interesting to see how popular the fetish is for men who seek prostitutes to perform variants on the act. Of course, we could begin at home, by that I mean on this site, as suggested. To be continued...

When I really started looking for videos and other pee porn, I was happy to find that pee was so popular in my home, the U.K.  Sadly, I think the nanny state disapproves and it doesn't seem as available today.  I'm sure the 100,000 CCTV cameras i this country has something to do with that.

It has definitely gone down hill. Some of the old classics like British Extreme have stopped. A lot I think is to do with the models not wanting to be spotted by people with phone cameras these days and plastered all over facebook and the likes. 😔😔

I have no evidence besides my own personal observations but it seems like Germany and Japan share dominance of the piss fetish and several other related fetishes. I have always associated the UK with wetting first, followed by naughty peeing. I associate Italy and Spain with pee voyeurism.

The Czech Republic is worth a mention. Many pee porn sites today and in recent years are based there - VIPissy, Wet and Pissy, Porn Stars At Home, Fully Clothed Pissing, WD Girls, Pissing in Action, etc

Technically, おもらし / "Omorashi" refers mainly to wetting and is often used in the context of desperation. If youre looking for pee in general, おしっこ usually yields better results.

Btw: Omorashi can also be written as お漏らし and the 漏 part means "leak" or "spillage" - hence the desperation context. Tho I dunno what the らし part is for, I've only ever seen it in a context where it could be translated as "appearing", so (just a guess tho) this might mean "appear to be leaking" - which could fit with the whole cross-legged pee-pee-dance that omorashi is sometimes used as a description for.

... at least, that's how it appears to be used on porn sites, where like 80% of my knowledge about Japanese stems from. 😼 The actual 'regular' meaning might differ
