I have done it a few times but limited to two packages of diapers. The first time I went out of town for work for a week. My first stop was at a grocery store to buy diapers and lots of bottled water. It was an absolutely amazing week enjoying soooo many things about diapers. Well it was easier in a city of people I don’t know. And since I walked I knew I wouldn’t be pointed out from a wet seat or anything because it wasn’t a super busy walking area. I do miss that the most though, it is hard to find a place to enjoy public wetting at home so I haven’t done it. I will sometime again when I travel though.

I actually had trouble trying to go in the diaper. I let out a little but couldn't turn my brain off to let it flood. Ended up peeing in the shower instead.

I have only started wearing a pull up. And enjoyed the feeling of it getting warm. Only wear it when I know I can’t stop somewhere to go if I were driving and not having to worry about wetting my seat which I don’t want to do. 
 

but I did once sit in the bath full of water and just watch and feel my pull-up expanded and getting tight feeling down there.  And would love to have someone hand on my pull-up while I let go so you can feel the warmth fill up down there.

BTW as far pull ups, one day I was in a naughty mood and I wanted to do more than wet myself while walking back to my car though a store parking lot. I've used them many times in the past and will again. The ones I use are heavy duty, I often read about people peeing 2-3 times in one, but I can overflow it in one big pee.

Thanks for the insight.  Do you think the overflow is due to the sheer amount or because it just can't absorb fast enough?  Ever try to pause and see if that helps?  I have heard the absorption rate can be a problem for some people who pee really strong.

Pampers are designed to be wet in "normal" bladder amounts. They are not meant to be flooded! Not saying what you should or shouldn't do, just saying how they are designed. I only leak if I really really put off changing. ( I love my tinkle so sometimes I do that )

So the idea appeals to me because of the freedom like you’re saying, be able to go anywhere but the problem is that I like the mess, I like getting pee everywhere so I think for that reason I’d diverge - I like the freedom combined with the mess. 
 

however! - if there was a situation where I could ‘hide’ wearing a diper which was also a situation where I absolutely could not just pee then I would definitely like that idea…maybe I should look into it. 
 

having to sit down on a toilet and pee normally just seems lame to me now.

If you look at adult diapers they have ratings of how much they can hold, some can hold nearly 3litres of liquid. So in theory they can hold a full bladder or 2 or 3. I don't think they are made to absorb a full bladder at full pace though, more small amounts frequently, because if you could hold that much, chances are you wouldn't need the diaper. I also imagine the 3 litres is spread throughout the whole diaper, so if you stand and pee in one place then that bit would get saturated and leak, but if you in different positions like sitting, standing, lying down then it might absorb more. Also how tightly they fit around the legs etc would have an impact.
