I think it's a form of therapy. When construction workers feel powerless, they lay out 6 miles of cones. This helps them feel a renewed sense of control over their lives and the world around them. The overtime pay is a nice perk, too. I rarely see any actual work ... but the UK must have millions of cones set out on any given day. Seems road workers need lots of therapy. 1 Quote Link to post
