  1. @F.W Could you please do me a favour? I'd appreciate it so much if you'd hit the space bar after a comma. Your posts would be so much easier to read and it's the correct way to type. Thanks!
  2. I agree. There is nothing wrong with married women having male friends or vice versa. I dated a woman in the late 1990's whose best friend was a guy. But, he was a "buddy." What @Blackinksoul30 is seeking is a much more emotional relationship. That intimacy should be reserved only for one's spouse.
  3. @steve25805 Okay, I'll play along. I'm a Leo. 🙂
  4. @steve25805 Uh, I have some bad news for you. You're not a Cancer. You're actually a Gemini. I studied Astronomy in college. Astrology is superstition with no basis in science. But, for those who choose to believe, read the following: "A staggering 98% of people in the UK know the answer to this question. But did you know around 86% of us were actually born under a different constellation to our star sign? The dates of the ‘star signs’ were fixed, over 2,000 years ago, when the zodiac was first devised. Then, they corresponded to the constellation of stars that appeared beh
  5. Hey Steve, wanna trade? LMAO! 🤣
  6. I just looked it up. For me, it was "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" by Andy Gibb. LOL!
  7. It seems that he and Trump were cut from the same cloth.
  8. I'm watching the Late Late Show with James Corden from London right now. The show is based in Los Angeles, but Corden is a Brit. Every year they do a week of shows from London. Tonight, he has this girl group called Little Mix on. I thought I was watching an act from the USA! England produced all of the best rock and pop bands in history! They set the trends. Now it seems that they're following us. I don't get it. To me, the best USA bands are the Doors and the Beach Boys. That's about it. England has beat us in music for ages. Ha ha! It's true. During the show, Corden s
  9. Forgive me, @Blackinksoul30 , but I'll give you an honest response. Why are you seeking male friendship online? Why are you engaging in intimate conversations with men online? Call me old-fashioned, but that is the role a husband should fill. When I was married, I would have been quite concerned if my wife was looking for serious friendships with men outside of our marriage. It's just not right. That's just my opinion. It can only lead to more problems. Have you no female friends? If you do, those are who should be confiding in. If not, perhaps you should try to meet some.

I won't add a word. You said it all. Well done!
  11. @steve25805 I wrote a paper in college on the Great Flood. What scientists believe is that Mesopotamia, the valley between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in Iraq, flooded. To those living in that area, it would have seemed as though the whole world was flooded. Most people in that area rarely ventured more than a few miles from their village. But, a flood where the whole world was flooded never occurred except when earth was a new planet. A scientist I know asked, "If that really happened, what happened to the water?" LOL! Good point. But, if you ask the fundamentalists,
  12. I had the original uncut film. I had simply forgotten that there were two pee scenes. It's been many years since I watched Caligula. Also, I failed to mention that the film stars Helen Mirren and John Gielgud as well as Peter O'Toole and Malcolm McDowell. With a cast like that, no remake could match the original.

    ROOM 101

This thread is for those things that piss you off, right? I have one. It's those who refuse to accept the FACT that global warming is REAL and that MAN HAS CAUSED MOST OF IT! To deny this is pure stupidity, not just ignorance. The evidence is overwhelming! In the not-too-distant future we will be forced to use less power. Only when governments get off of their greedy, stupid butts will things change. Fossil fuels must be totally eliminated. For those who think it's not possible to replace our current fuels with alternative sources, think about this. Once upon a time, we rode horse
  14. I love this song! Hope you like it too.
  15. Caligula is a classic. I wouldn't want a remake of it. I hate remakes. They are never as good as the original. Never. Besides, you cannot top Malcolm McDowell and Peter O'Toole. As I recall, there is only one brief pee scene in it. Here's a funny story about Caligula. I had the totally uncut X-rated version of it on VHS tape back in the day. I loaned it to my co-worker and warned him about how hardcore it was. He put it on while his wife's parents were over on Mother's Day! LMAO!!! He did it on purpose. 🤣 Then, years later, at another job, I told a female co-worker about
  16. I believe it's quite possible that there are alien living organisms. But, I don't believe in aliens like the one below.
  17. Gabriel's best and most powerful song, recorded live in 1982.
  18. According to Stephen Hawking, going back in time is impossible under any circumstances. But, in theory, going forward in time would be possible.
  19. Spoken like a true ultra conservative. You are wrong! If they go offshore, you tax them more. What are they going to do? LOL! Your argument is absurd to anyone who truly understands economics. People and companies have money stored abroad in amounts that would blow your mind! Apple is just one example of a corporation that has taken advantage of our system. The list is endless. It's been proven time and time again that when a company makes huge profits, they DO NOT invest in the employees, communities, etc., under our current system. It does not create more jobs in the long run.
  20. Many, if not most, of our problems are due to the rich people and corporate America getting off way too easy! People under $35,000/year should pay zero federal income tax. If the rich and corporations paid their share, we'd be okay. People much smarter than myself have said this many times, including Warren Buffet. Tax rates for the wealthy were higher in the 1950's when Eisenhower was president! That was the most prosperous decade in the history of the USA! Look it up if you have any doubts. It was. Why do you think Trump refuses to release his tax returns? Could it be because Am
  21. Man, you sure know how to make a point! I'm almost sorry I asked. I don't know what to say except that I'd want you for my lawyer! LOL! I was unaware of conditions there. It does seem like a dire situation for the young people of the UK. So sorry. Having said that, I still believe technology is to blame, in large part, for the mental issues and behavior of our youth. I fail to see how the government affects those psychological factors. But, yes, you are correct on all of your points mentioned. Good thesis, Steve!
  22. @Ozabot While I don't agree with many of the songs on the list, it's fitting that so many of the songs are by the Beatles. I think that really says it all. The best! 🙂
  23. I'll be the first to say that schools are inferior to what they were 50 years ago. So are the teachers. So, I suppose one could place blame on the government for that. This is true here in the USA. I can't speak for other nations. But, other than that, how has the government shafted the youth? I fail to see that. I think parents are most to blame. It all starts at home! It's up to parents to see that their children are learning social skills, etc., and I think they do a terrible job. Single parent families don't help either. A child needs both a mom and dad. Lastly, if I h
