Yep, sometimes I do it in non nature areas too. I have been doing it for years (since I was a kid). Yep, wiping & dropping was taught to me growing up.

I will sound terrible but here goes. There are hiking trails that are not that well frequented in my area. Mine looks like the second column and second row from top left corner.
