How widespread is our fetish?

Recommended Posts

We are all amongst friends here, and on other pee fetish sites. We all know that everyone we meet here is going to be a fellow pee enthusiast of some kind, and we all pretty much accept each other. But sites such as this where we feel at home sharing such things can create the illusion of widespread acceptability when - if we think about it - we have probably all known people who are totally grossed out by it. Very few people in real life are open about such interests. Pee sex is still considered very taboo.

And yet we also know plenty of people on sites like this who are totally in the closet in real life. I myself am one and I know of others. So chances are that the degree of genuine interest in our fetish is wider than people might think. But how widespread is interest in our fetish? Is it limited to a tiny percentage of the population or are a much larger number interested? Who'd like to guess a few percentages?

Actually, I think the percentage of the population into pee would vary very much according to how extreme or perverse the peeing activity was seen to be. At it's more extreme end - eg having your mouth pissed in and drinking it, or letting someone piss all over your carpet - the percentage of the population who would be turned on by that rather than turned off is probably pretty small, unfortunately. I would guess no more than 1-2%.

But at the milder end of the pee fetish spectrum - eg, watching your partner piss in the toilet or behind a bush, and stuff like that - the percentage interest might secretly even be a majority one, ie over 50%. Of course for many of these people it would only me a relatively mild interest and in no way their main kick, and in many cases something they barely ever think about at all. And many who are more actively turned on by it sufficiently as to fantasise about it sometimes will probably be in the closet about it too. But I think that a majority of people would, at least secretly, get a little turned on by seeing their partner pee, even if only mildly.

I believe that most if not all fetishes develop due to experiences that we have. The seed is usually planted in childhood, and often from a totally non sexual experience. That being said, there is also the issue of exposure to the item or action that can either make it become a fetish, or not. For example, someone who had a babysitter (an aunt, cousin, or stranger) who they really liked, and who always wore stockings and garters may associate seeing the stockings and garters (suspenders for those in the UK) with pleasurable experiences. As an adult, they may transfer that to sexual partners, and develop a fetish for women wearing them

With a pee fetish, I believe it often starts with us seeing something that we are not supposed to see. Seeing someone of the opposite sex peeing would be considered to be "wrong" in many areas, and someone who gets a view of "forbidden fruit" may end up with a fetish for pee. In other areas, where peeing is not considered a "private" activity, and people often pee in public without shame, I would say that instances of a pee fetish would be a lot less. When seeing something is common, it becomes less arousing.

I know that the first few times that I saw a woman peeing (as an adult) I reacted to it. My breathing got shallow, and I seriously think that I was hard enough to cut diamonds. Now (after seeing thousands of women peeing in real life, and many more than that in photos and videos) I do not have the same reaction. I enjoy watching, but a sighting is not going to get me as excited as it once did

There is never going to be a way to determine how many people have a pee fetish. Questionnaires and polls depend on people giving honest answers, and often they will not. Even physical study of arousal when exposed to certain images may not give a real result. Someone with a pee fetish and who has seen a lot of pee porn will not react much to a pee picture, and if they do not admit to the pee fetish, will not be counted as having one.

My guess is that anywhere from 15-20% of people have some sort of pee fetish. I would say that another 2o% or so enjoy a pee picture or video, not to the extent of it being a fetish. About 40 % would be what I call neutral, not reacting positively or negatively to pee and another 20-25% would consider pee to be a total turn off

I have the same thoughts about diaper fetish. It seems to me that the diaper fetish is a part of pee fetish, the only thing that is different is that you drowns diapers instead of peeing in public. Ofcourse you can drown diapers in public too but you are protected by the diapers so you don´t need to feel embarassed for it and no angry eyes are watching you either. If you pee your pants you get plenty of angry eyes against you but if you drowns diapers and cover your pee fetish with them you can drown the diapers with completely enjoyment even in public. That´s just my thoughts:).
