Tumblr Movies - Saving them

I've been trying to find a way to save movie clips on Tumblr.

Found a way because viewing the source won't work.

Using Firefox right click on the movie you want to save, select "Inspect Element"

A popup type thing will appear on the bottom of your screen.

Select the part of the URL you see where it sez "media bla bla bla and right click

Now select "Copy inner HTML"

Paste into the window address bar and hit enter. The movie should be playing in

the window by itself.

Go to "File" "save page as" and save it to your computer. Now you have it!!!

Thank you for sharing this little tutorial, I'm sure some people will find the guide useful. However, have you considered using a browser plugin/extension? I have something called 'video downloader professional' - a free tool that you just press a button and it will download the video on the current page you're on. For those not wanting to add things like this to their browsers, this method should be good. :)

DoH, didn't even think of trying that one. I was looking at a vid the other day on tumblr that I wanted to save and

tried different things and what I had written out worked. lol

I like your idea better. lol much easier!
