A number of sportsmen and sportswomen risk their lives for our entertainment, and for their own reasons of course, and very often it is pure chance there are not more deaths like this.

Very sad.

That day led to this as surely as night follows day.

Attempting to bash another player in the head instead of trying to bowl him out is not sporting and not honorable. That this is permitted in the rules of the modern game deserves nothing but contempt.

R.I.P. Phil Hughes. I am deeply sorry that you were killed for a public spectacle.
